Energy minister Michael Shanks has written to the heads of the National Energy System Operator (NESO) and Ofgem to address concerns surrounding solar capacities in the Clean Power 2030 Action Plan (CPAP).
Solar energy developer Aukera Energy has secured a £135 million senior debt facility from two international banks to finance the growth of its UK solar portfolio.
Planning consent was awarded to BESS projects totalling 1,590MW/3,179MWh of capacity last month, meaning the UK now has a total of around 55.4GW/117GWh approved.
