Two solar developments, awarded contracts in Ireland’s second Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) in 2022, have reached new milestones, with one entering construction and another newly operational.

Engineering and consultancy firm AFRY has been appointed as the technical partner for a solar project under development by Neoen in Ireland.

Highfield Solar has successfully secured full financing for two new solar projects in Ireland, with a combined 132MWp capacity.

The results of Ireland’s third Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) auction selected 20 solar projects, totalling 497MW, as provisional winners.

Provisional results for the second auction in Ireland’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) have been published, showing that 1,534.1MW of solar PV was successful – equivalent to 78% of total capacity.
