UK reaches 7GWh of BESS but growth slowed in 2024, Ireland grows

There is now over 7GWh of grid-scale BESS capacity online in the UK, but 2024 saw a slowdown in both capacity additions and overall pipeline growth, while Ireland saw growth.

Gore Street Energy Storage Fund has confirmed that energisation for a 79.9MW asset in Milton Keynes is set to begin on 31 July.
